Imagine the situation where…

  • You have a database of already-made social media headlines with links to posts, and hash-tags already setup.
  • You’re using a social media manager app that allows you to schedule your posts in advance.
  • You put a system in place for which posts to schedule, at what times, and you know how often to recycle and repeat.
  • This new system is working for you, as it is now bringing in a steady flow of traffic to your landing page.
  • Your landing page is now converting a higher percentage of visitors because the new design actually takes the potential customer through a journey.

Does this sound too good to be true?

Well, it isn’t. This is the power and benefit of having a Content Marketing Plan in place. All you have to do is execute it on a regular basis, and it will run like clockwork.

Why I developed the workbook

I’m not a marketing specialist, I’m actually an English (as a Foreign Language) Teacher living abroad, a course creator, YouTuber, and blogger. (Click the hyperlink for my about page and story video.)

This past summer (2021), I had endeavored to learn how to strengthen one of my weaknesses as a solopreneur – marketing. Therefore, I had taken several courses myself to really understand what a content marketing plan was. That way, I could better market my own courses and build up my YouTube channel following.

A Content Marketing Plan in 5 Easy Steps

A Content Marketing Plan is when you sit down and do some introspective thinking about the following things:

  1. Firstly, think about who your target is and the best way to reach them. [The Target Persona]
  2. Next, brainstorm what questions and curiosities my target might have about a specific problem to which my product, service, or course solves. [The Customer Awareness Audit]
  3. Use those prospective questions to devise content (answers) in anticipation of those questions. This will educate the target persona with the prepared content. [The Content]
  4. Ask the target to buy your product, service, or course, and use it to solve their problem. [CTA]
  5. Plan your communications schedule to repeat the message in the places most likely to reach your target audience. [Social Media Marketing]

If you have been doing these steps in the wrong order, or skipping steps altogether, then it’s time for a rethink.

This is the Content Marketing Plan in a nutshell. Originally, I had endeavored to produce a workbook that I could use to create such a marketing plan for each of my courses, my YouTube channel, and my business. Subsequently, I decided to publish the workbook and share it with the world.

What you will need to make your own plan

In order to implement this plan, you will need some tools, namely copywriting formulas.

What are copywriting formulas?

To put it succinctly, a copywriting formula is an organized frame for writing persuasive copy with the intent to sell. You can think of it as a prescribed writing style that has been designed to get results. If you’re interested in learning more about these Copywriting Formulas click here or on the image below.
