In an effort to have a clear understanding and agreement between students and teacher, you will find the current terms and conditions for English lessons with Native 1.

Individual Courses Academic Year 2023-2024

  1. The academic school year runs from September 1st to June 30th.
    • The arrangement for lessons may extend into July and August based on an agreed upon schedule by the teacher and the student.
  2. Classes take place from Monday to Friday, according to the schedule established at the beginning of the year.
  3. The duration and frequency of the lessons are chosen by the student and specified in the agreement.
  4. Individual student lessons follow a predetermined schedule.
  5. Cancellation of a lesson must be submitted to the teacher according to the following schedule:
    • By 18:00 pm on the day before a morning lesson.
    • By 9:00 am on the day of ab afternoon or evening lesson.
  6. Lesson cancellations must be made in writing, either by email or SMS (messenger is not an acceptable option).
  7. Each semester has designated days where classes can be recovered due to an absence by the teacher or a cancellation by the student. Additionally, cancelled classes by the student may attempt to reschedule to another day or time if one is offered by the teacher within 2 weeks of the cancellation.
  8. The student agrees to pay a monthly price for the teaching service.
  9. The teacher provides lessons either in the office or online.
  10. Lesson notes will be made available in digital format and shared online with the participating students.
  11. Holiday schedules have been taken into account when planning the lesson schedule. Any additionally planned vacation or extended absence will be treated as a cancellation and may qualify for a limited number of makeup lessons as set forth in predetermined lesson schedule.
  12. Any termination in the lesson arrangement should be made with one-month advance notice.
  13. The student has read and accepts the privacy policy.

Group Courses Academic Year 2023-2024

  1. The school year is divided into two semesters.
    • First semester runs from September 1, 2023 – January 26, 2024.
    • Second semester runs from February 18, 2024 – June 30,
  2. The frequency and duration of the lessons are agreed upon by each student in the group. The options for lesson duration are as follows:
    • 1-hour lesson = 50 minutes and can be conducted with a frequency of once or twice per week as recommended by the teacher for the group’s age and level.
    • 90-minute lesson = 85 minutes of instruction and can be conducted once per week as recommended by the teacher for the group’s age and level.
  3. The teacher guarantees the proposed number of lessons offered to the group. In case the teacher must cancel a lesson due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, the teacher will offer a reschedule date according to the available dates predetermined in the groups schedule.
  4. Each semester concludes with a progress test which will include a commentary on the student’s progress and areas of improvement.
  5. Students should notify the teacher of any absences in writing (either by SMS or email), but the lesson will be treated as delivered.
  6. In the event that all students are absent from the lesson, it will be treated as delivered.
  7. If all students in the group collectively request a rescheduling of a lesson, the teacher will offer an available time for makeup lessons according to the predetermined academic year schedule.
  8. The student agrees to the financial commitment for the whole academic year.
  9. The student agrees to pay for each semester up front (no later than 14 days after the start of the semester).
  10. The teacher reserves the right to add students to the group up to the maximum number of 4. Additionally, the teacher takes into consideration the suitability of new group members according to age and level.
  11. The teacher will recommend a course book for the group to follow. Students can purchase the book on their own account or through the teacher. If the student declines to purchase the book, the student will pay a surcharge of 70 zł to cover the cost of printing and other materials provided during the lessons.
  12. Lesson notes will be made available in digital format and shared online with the participating students.
  13. If a student decides to resign from the group, they are responsible for the financial commitment through the end of the current semester.
  14. If the second semester does not meet the requirements for the group to continue, the teacher may terminate the group at which point any interested student may be offered to continue individually according to the teacher’s availability.
  15. The student has read and accepts the privacy policy.

Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

  • Lessons cancelled within 6 hours of the scheduled time and day of the lesson are considered late and are not eligible for a makeup.
  • The student has the right to receive two makeup lessons per term during the stated period for the academic year or as agreed upon by the student and the teacher.
  • Acceptable reasons for an eligible makeup shall be illness, unexpected travel, or any unforeseen disturbance not known at the time of lesson planning.
  • Any lessons not delivered to the student due to the teacher’s absence shall be credited to the following month’s bill or offered a makeup date which is to be agreed upon by the student and teacher.
  • The student can request a lesson to be rescheduled on another date, as long as the availability exists within the teacher’s schedule.
